Anti-corrosion as a fringe industry, the scope of application is very broad, involving all aspects of our lives. In order to guide the whole society to correctly understand and value this huge treasure that has not yet been fully tapped, the reporter recently interviewed the executive vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Association of Industrial Corrosion Prevention Technology.
Reporter: The party and the country advocate the construction of a conservation-minded society. What is the new meaning of anti-corrosion work in China's economy and society?
Ren Zhenyao: At present, China's resource bottlenecks and ecological environmental issues have become increasingly prominent. On the other hand, extensive economic growth has not yet been fundamentally reversed. In the long run, China's sustainable development is an empty phrase. The significance of anti-corrosion work lies in that it is a practical and feasible way for China to build a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, and the potential for excavation is quite large.
Corrosion is everywhere and there is no time. It is impossible for human beings to eradicate corrosion, but it can effectively control and reduce the corrosion process and extend the service life of facilities, buildings and equipment, so as to save resources, protect the environment and ensure the safety and health of people. At the same time, the application of various types of new equipment, new construction, and new technologies is also inseparable from the advance development of new anti-corrosion materials and new technologies. Controlling corrosion is an important part of achieving savings, safety, cleanliness and sustainable development.
Generally speaking, corrosion protection has three functions and responsibilities: the basic function of the anti-corrosion industry is to save resources and increase resource utilization; with the economic development and scientific and technological progress, as well as the improvement of people’s living standards and aesthetic concepts, the corrosion control is proposed. The higher requirements for aesthetics and arts, this is its second-level function; embodies the spirit of the times and social values, synchronizes with the times, and is in sync with people's pursuit of environmental beauty, which is the third level of corrosion control and the highest level of function.
Reporter: What is the status of China's anti-corrosion industry? What other major problems still exist?
Ren Zhenjun: At present, there are more than 3,000 enterprises in China's anti-corrosion industry, with an annual output value of more than 100 billion yuan, and nearly 1 million employees, of whom over 90% are rural laborers. The anti-corrosion industry has become a large number of surplus rural laborers and places to increase. The important industry of fiscal revenue and farmers' income.
“China's anti-corrosion capital†Henan Changyuan County is one of the birthplaces of anti-corrosion construction in China. It has now become the largest anti-corrosion industrial base in China. The county has 21 state-level anti-corrosion enterprises, 19 secondary companies, and nearly 100,000 employees. The annual income from labor services is about 1 billion yuan. “Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province, the first county in China's anti-corrosion industry†is the second brand of anti-corrosion area in China after Changyi County. At present, it has formed a national anti-corrosion industry with one-third of the world. The county has 16 anti-corrosion enterprises, employing more than 100,000 employees, with an annual output value of more than 1 billion yuan.
Corrosion has the characteristics of universality, concealment, graduality, etc., and is often a process of destruction that occurs without people's awareness and occurs quietly and is easily overlooked by people. However, if the corrosion is damaged to a certain extent, sudden damage will occur and the consequences are very serious. Therefore, how to guide society to strengthen the importance and participation in anti-corrosion work is the most important issue facing the industry.
At present, some companies in the industry, especially those with their own innovative technologies and products, hold an incorrect view on how to promote the public to the society. They believe that a propaganda and innovation technology will leak corporate technological secrets, which is tantamount to food waste. In fact, as long as we vigorously publicize the product's performance and significance, and at the same time do a good job in the confidentiality of technical details such as the process flow, and grasp this degree, the risk of technological leakage will be minimized. Of course, this shows from another aspect that the awareness and environment for enterprises to apply for patent protection need to be strengthened.
In addition, anti-corrosion construction is a kind of fine work, but the relevant standard parameters in the country are currently lacking, and the construction is arbitrarily large. At the same time, the overall skill level of the employees is not high, which restricts the effect of building quality projects.
