Following the completion of the reconstruction and expansion of three sets of ethylene production facilities, on July 21, Maoming Petrochemical's 2.6 million tons/year diesel hydrofining unit was completed and it was ready for production.
Domestic oil products will fully meet the Euro III standard in 2010 after the full implementation of the Euro II quality standard in July 2005. To this end, Maoming Petrochemical invested 1.23 billion yuan to build a refinery quality upgrade project, and a 2.6 million tons/year diesel hydrotreating unit is one of the key projects. The device has invested 360 million yuan. After the production, Maoming Petrochemical's diesel hydrorefining capacity will exceed 5 million tons per year, and all of them will meet Euro III quality standards. The device was started construction in January 2005. It took only 18 months to complete the entire amount of work and achieved a high standard of delivery.
