In addition, the curve geometric parameters of wheel turning are derived from the settings of wheel turning machines, and the reliability of wheel turning machining depends on the correctness of the geometric parameters of the standard wheel set of its accessories. It can be said that the standard wheel set is the benchmark for the geometric parameters of subway wheels. It is reported that the wheel diameter is measured by a wheel outside diameter measuring instrument. The measuring instrument uses the bowstring height principle to perform indirect measurement. Because it is an indirect measurement and uses a dial to read the display value, and human factors will be introduced during the measurement, the accuracy cannot meet the measurement requirements.
Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of public transportation in Shanghai, recently, Shanghai Metrology Institute has developed a device for on-site detection of wheel diameter of rail transit wheels. The technical level of the Shanghai Metrology Institute in the field of rail transit detection has been improved, which will help to better serve the city's rail transit system and meet the needs for metro parameter measurement of standard subway wheels.
Engineers of Shanghai Metrology Institute found that during the testing of subway standard wheel sets, samples are often scattered in various maintenance bases of subway companies, which are large, heavy and inconvenient to transport, and are not suitable for routine delivery to laboratories for testing. After in-depth research and discussion, engineers from Shanghai Metrology Institute designed a set of on-site testing devices to successfully solve the on-site testing problems of standard wheelset geometric parameters. Compared with the traditional detection method, the device reduces the number of measuring tools, improves the detection efficiency, greatly reduces the work intensity and improves the measurement accuracy (equipment measurement accuracy can reach 0.03mm, which is better than the high-speed rail 0.15mm technical requirements).
