In the first two months of 2011, the export volume of automobile parts in Fujian increased by 30.1%

According to reports, in the first two months, auto parts were mainly exported in the form of general trade, with an export value of 90.52 million US dollars, an increase of 26.3%, accounting for 67.8% of the total value of auto parts exports in Fujian during the same period. In addition, the export of automotive parts by processing trade was US$39.31 million, a significant increase of 46.6%. According to the analysis of related persons of Fuzhou Customs, the export of automobile parts in our province kept growing since the beginning of this year, mainly due to the recovery of the international auto market. In addition, in January, China exported 55,000 vehicles, which was the highest single-month export value since August 2008, a year-on-year increase of 63.1%. The significant increase in the export of complete vehicles further stimulated the growth of export maintenance parts.

The reporter also learned from the Fuzhou Customs on the 29th that in the first two months of this year, the province’s import and export trade volume with ASEAN reached US$2.34 billion, an increase of 40.5% over the same period of last year. Among them, exports were US$1.41 billion, an increase of 34%; imports were US$930 million, an increase of 51.6%. Fuzhou Customs officials pointed out that after the formal establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area last year, China’s overall average tax rate on ASEAN was reduced from 9.8% to 0.1%, and the average ASEAN tariff rate on China was reduced from 12.8% to 0.6%, and over 90% on both sides. Commodities achieve "zero tariff". As the cost of trade in products has fallen drastically, the complementarity between the province’s and ASEAN’s economies has been fully reflected, directly stimulating the expansion of the province’s trade size towards ASEAN.
