From January to August 2011, the import of instruments and meters in Anhui was 250 million U.S. dollars

According to customs statistics, from January to August, the import of mechanical and electrical products in Anhui Province was 269.197 million US dollars, an increase of 4% year-on-year. Imports accounted for 28.9% of the province’s total foreign trade imports, of which instruments and meters imported 250 million US dollars, down 11% year-on-year.

The basic conditions for the import of mechanical and electrical products are as follows:

I. Steady Growth in Imports of Key Enterprises From January to August, there were 46 key enterprises with an import value of more than US$10 million, an increase of 15 over the same period of the previous year, with an import value of US$215.128 million, a year-on-year increase of 5%. A number of new investment companies have accelerated their pace of import, such as LDK Solar High-tech Co., Ltd., Hefei Rongan Power Machinery Co., Ltd., and Wuhu Dehao Runda Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., etc., importing rapidly; a batch of normalized import enterprises have experienced extraordinary development. Such as Hefei Hitachi excavator Co., Ltd., Chery Automobile, Anhui Technology Import and Export Co., Ltd. It is better to avoid the situation that due to the large base number of Hefei BOE Technology Co., Ltd. last year, this led to a sharp drop in imports this year.

2. Machinery and equipment decreased slightly, electrical and electronic equipment steadily increased Machinery and equipment imports 1.89 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 70% of imports of electromechanical products. Affected by the import base of flat panel display equipment last year, it decreased by 4% year-on-year. Transportation and mining equipment was US$230 million, an increase of 17% year-on-year; internal combustion engine imports were US$260 million, a year-on-year increase of 44%. Imports of electrical appliances and electronic equipment were 280 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 58%, mainly due to the import of diodes worth 46.54 million U.S. dollars, circuit switches 36.25 million U.S. dollars, and electric motors 31.09 million U.S. dollars. The import of instruments and meters was 250 million U.S. dollars, down 11% year-on-year, mainly due to the import of medical equipment worth 44.91 million U.S. dollars and the import of testing instruments by 21.31 million U.S. dollars.

3. General trade imports decreased slightly, and processing trade grew rapidly General trade imports 2.11 billion US dollars, down 4% year-on-year, accounting for 78% of total imports; processing trade imports 430 million US dollars, an increase of 98.8%, of which 99% is Materials processing trade imports.

4. Foreign and private enterprises saw a large increase in imports. State-owned enterprises’ imports fell more. Foreign-invested enterprises imported 1.29 billion U.S. dollars, up 34% year-on-year, accounting for 48%; private enterprises imported 730 million U.S. dollars, up 164% year-on-year, accounting for 27%. %; State-owned enterprises imported 680 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year drop of 50%, accounting for 25%.

5. In the traditional market, imports fell slightly. Emerging markets increased their imports by 1.64 billion U.S. dollars from Asia, down 18% year-on-year, accounting for 61% of the total. Major importing countries and regions are Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Imports from Europe reached US$860 million, an increase of 78% year-on-year, mainly in Germany and Italy. Imports from North America totaled 180 million U.S. dollars, up 76% year-on-year, mainly in the United States.

6. Regional imbalances Further increase in imports of 12 out of 16 cities in the province is positive growth. There are four cities that import billions of dollars in imports, accounting for 82% of imports, which are: Hefei 1.41 billion US dollars, down 20%; Wuhu City, 580 million US dollars, an increase of 57%; Ma'anshan City, 120 million US dollars, an increase of 69% Anqing City, 100 million US dollars, an increase of 109%.
