Jiangsu's chemical industry experienced a sharp drop in economic growth
Since the beginning of this year, the economic growth rate of Jiangsu's petroleum and chemical industries has dropped sharply, but it has remained basically stable. According to statistics, from January to April, 4,251 petrochemical enterprises above designated size achieved a total of 506.16 billion yuan in industrial output value at current prices, and total sales value was 493.681 billion yuan. Although the growth rate was nearly 20 percentage points lower than the same period of last year, it still achieved 14.78% and 12.91%. In particular, the output value of the single month from March to April remained at a historical high of over 130 billion yuan. Affected by the sluggish demand in the international market, exports suffered major setbacks, and the year-on-year growth rate declined for the first time in recent years.
