China's internal combustion engine "draft" plan draft completed in November

At the "2010 Green Power International Forum" held on August 30, Wei Anli, deputy secretary-general of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, revealed to reporters that the draft "12th Five-Year Plan" for the internal combustion engine industry has been completed and will be submitted to the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in November.

Research on reducing fuel consumption in internal combustion engines and using alternative fuels will become the core of the work during the "12th Five-Year Plan" and beyond. According to Wei Anli, after the draft is completed, several rounds of discussion are required to solicit industry opinions and formally reported to the relevant national authorities two months later. “In the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the growth rate of the internal combustion engine industry will be around 8%. The growth rate of industry efficiency rate should reach 10-15%."

In fact, the rapid development of the internal combustion engine industry deserves social attention. Ge Hong, deputy secretary-general of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, told reporters that in the first half of the year, the industry's economy was running smoothly and the production and sales indicators increased by more than 30% year-on-year, a record high; total profits increased by 78.88% year-on-year.

The development space of the industry has attracted the favor of private capital. Liu Ronggang, chairman of Suzhou Jingrong Shuitong Investment Development Co., Ltd., briefed the reporter. Because he is optimistic about the extensive market demand for energy-saving internal combustion engines, the company recently invested 20 million yuan in a private enterprise dedicated to the development of energy-saving internal combustion engines.

In addition, the reporter also learned that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, internal combustion engine energy conservation will run through every link from scientific research and development to industrial application. Wei Anli believes that the internal combustion engine is currently the main source of combustion and emissions for China's mobile machinery products. At the same time, the internal combustion engine is the most potential energy-saving emission reduction product, and the most energy-saving and emission-reducing effect is intuitive.
