Crash with entrapment near Union, 9-5-20
On September 5, 2020, Union Engine 1543, Brush 1569, and Assistant Chief 1503, along with units from Marengo and Woodstock, responded to a two-vehicle T-bone collision at the intersection of Route 176 and Dunham Road in Union. One individual was airlifted to the Rockford Trauma Center by a medical helicopter. The accident caused a temporary closure of Route 176 for approximately one hour late Saturday night. Authorities from McHenry County are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause.
