At the recent seminar on the sustainable development of denitrification industry, the image of the denitrification catalyst production process was “burning blue and white porcelain” or “burning bricks”. In an interview, the reporter learned that to achieve new emission standards, before 2014, almost all thermal power units in China must complete denitrification and transformation. Faced with such a big cake, large, medium, and small environmental protection engineering companies all over the country are marching into and seizing market share, and the urgent time requires owners to have insufficient inspection period for the enterprise's denitrification project construction capacity and the quality of denitrification catalyst production. This disorderly competitive state and short-term saturation of the market is not conducive to high-quality companies to come to the fore.


Cao Satellite told reporters that because of the huge market potential, many companies are or have joined it. However, making a qualified catalyst product is a challenge for every company, and it is difficult to achieve optimum development.


Professor Sun Keqin of Southeast University said: “The production of catalysts is to burn blue-and-white porcelain, not bricks, but many companies are doing it as bricks. Is the product quality guaranteed? If a product with poor quality is used, it will result in A big loss."


According to reports, the catalyst should be replaced once every 3 years. Some analysts estimate that the demand for catalysts for the denitrification market during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” will reach 100,000 to 120,000 cubic meters per year, and the market scale will be as high as 50 billion yuan. At present, the domestic denitrification project, the owner of the unit in the selection of catalyst technology to adopt a separate tender system, which may further increase the disorderly competition in the catalyst market.

It does not participate in the later operation, and objectively causes the power plant to try its best to reduce the price, the vicious competition of the desulphurization company, and the pursuit of profit under the low price pressure. . A series of quality problems have emerged in low-cost projects, such as the quality of some flue gas desulphurization devices and the low rate of operation of desulphurization facilities.


It is understood that in the national desulphurization projects, abnormal operation accounts for two or three percent, and if the operation is basically normal, there are still more than 40% of improvements. From the project quality to the project life, the "sequelae" of power plant desulfurization problems is gradually emerging, and the quality problems of desulphurization facilities also reflect a series of drawbacks brought about by the excessive construction speed.


In order to avoid vicious competition, ensure project quality, and improve operational reliability and stability, experts in the industry suggest that experts from national relevant departments or commissioned industry associations should register enterprises for the construction of flue gas denitrification projects and related industries to obtain registered capital and qualifications. Establish access thresholds in terms of performance, market reputation, etc., formulate access measures, and qualify for entry. Establish a national denitrification process equipment list system to encourage sound development of denitrification industry and technology. And relying on the implementation of environmental protection technology management system construction projects in the country to enhance the ability of denitrification technology innovation, the implementation of the relevant process equipment, the survival of the fittest. Through publishing the catalogue of denitrification equipment that the state encourages or restricts the development of, the screening and promotion of good quality denitrification equipment, and the development of denitrification equipment industry chain. In addition, government departments must organize and study the standard system for flue gas denitrification in thermal power plants, and formulate relevant standards according to their priorities, providing solid technical support and policy protection for the denitrification industry, and promoting the sustainable development of the denitrification industry.
