Dewey Instrument Launches DW901 Static Pressure Level Transmitter

Dewey's DW901 Series Static Pressure Level Transmitter consists of three parts: measurement probe, junction box and fixed connector. The input type pressure sensor probe is sunk into the bottom of the container to measure the height of the liquid level, and the hydrostatic pressure is expressed by the formula P=Po+ρgh. Where Po is the pressure at the upper surface of the liquid, p is the density of the liquid to be measured, H is the height of the liquid column, and g is the acceleration of gravity (constant).

In order to eliminate the influence of the atmospheric pressure at the upper surface of the liquid, the DW901 transmitter adopts a ventilated cable design scheme to introduce the PO into the pressure-sensitive surface of the sensor to offset the effect of Po. It can be seen that the pressure P detected by the sensor has a linear relationship with the measured liquid level. The pressure signal is converted into a 4-20mA DC output signal by a single integrated V/I transmitter, and the height of the liquid level can be measured by measuring (recording) the output current value. When the output current reaches the set current value, a control or alarm signal can be sent through the optional controller. Sensor probes must be suspended or fixed at a certain height in order to achieve accurate measurements. When the medium flow or disturbance is large, the probe should be installed on the support frame or weighted hammer and hanging chain, or the probe can be placed in the anti-wave tube.
