Sometimes a gentle squeeze of the hand can make you feel better. And if that hand is actually an electronic device? The Dutch founder, Frebble, feels that you will be excited even if no one else's pulse is involved.
The Frebble just arrived Kickstarter seeking 50,000 US dollars to support the launch in the online market. Gadgets are trying to bridge the last big gap in the Internet: touch. When you are online with people, you can see them in the video and hear their voices, but you can't touch them. It has two Frebbles that make this job of online contact work. You hold one while another person, far away, holds an online chat when you go through Skype and FaceTime, or the Frebble app. You squeeze your Frebble and other Frebble responses by squeezing the other person's hand and vice versa.
Dutch tactile hints that Frebble will be a good way to connect young children with parents or grandparents who live far away or are traveling. The children seem to be a focal point. It can be welcomed by those who have a loved one and are separated by a distance.
