In January 2011, China produced 32,350 passenger cars and sold 37,150 vehicles, which represented a year-on-year increase of 13.29% and 7.85% respectively.
Large buses
In January 2011, the production and sales volume of large passenger cars were 5,944 and 6,585, respectively, with a cumulative increase of 23.73% over the same period of last year. The sales volume increased by 31.73% year-on-year; the production and sales volume increased by -28.50% and -22.14% respectively. 
Medium passenger car
In January 2011, the production and sales volume of medium-sized passenger cars were 5,200 units and 6,274 units respectively, with a cumulative increase of -8.82% as compared with the same period of last year. The sales volume increased by 8.72% year-on-year, and the production volume increased by -25.57% month-on-month, and the sales volume increased by -15.07%. 
Light bus
Production and sales of light buses in January 2011 were 21,206 units and 24,291 units respectively, with a cumulative increase of 17.49% year-on-year, and a year-on-year cumulative sales increase of 17.04%. The production volume increased by -8.94% month-on-month, and the sales volume increased by 31.19%.
