Pest and disease control during storage: Before storing, the storage room must be thoroughly disinfected using chlorine-based aerosol. The room should also be cleaned thoroughly, and any waste generated should be disposed of by burning immediately to maintain hygiene. For the stored wolfberries, fumigation is recommended. Use 0.25 kg of sulfur powder per 100 kg of product. After fumigation, ensure the product is completely dried before storing it. This method is highly effective in preventing pests such as Indian meal moths, whiteflies, and other common storage insects. It’s important to follow these steps carefully to maintain the quality and safety of the product throughout the storage period. Regular monitoring of the storage environment is also advised to detect any signs of infestation or moisture early.
