Henan Oilfield adopts flotation device to purify sewage

On January 23, the main unit of the sewage treatment system in the heavy oil unit of Henan Oilfield was officially put into operation. This advanced flotation machine was designed and installed by Liaoning Huafu Group. It works by dissolving gas to create microbubbles that attach to impurities and flocs in the wastewater, allowing them to float to the surface for removal, thus effectively improving water quality. The system can process up to 10,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day. During the commissioning phase, the team faced challenges such as low temperatures, which increased the risk of freezing and blockages. Despite harsh weather conditions, including snow and extreme cold, engineers and technicians worked diligently to overcome these obstacles. They carefully planned and implemented a scientific approach, including the temporary installation of clean water pipelines, ensuring the flotation system operated smoothly and efficiently. This successful commissioning marks a significant milestone in the development of the oilfield’s environmental protection infrastructure.
