Here's a throwback post from Larry Shapiro for #TBT:
These images come from a 3-11 alarm fire and EMS Plan 1 that took place at 4344 N. Winchester on December 6, 2001. The photos show some of the older fire apparatus that were relatively new at the time—many of which have since been retired or placed in reserve. One of the shots captures all three LTI tower ladders in excellent condition, still looking sharp and ready for action. Squad 2 and Tower 5 were just under a year old when this incident occurred, making them some of the newer units on scene.

It’s always interesting to see how things have changed over the years. These photos not only capture a moment in history but also highlight the evolution of firefighting equipment and tactics. If you're a fan of vintage fire apparatus, these shots are a real treat!
