From October 15th to 16th, the 5th International Conference on Separation Science and Technology was held in Beijing. Organized by the China Chemical Engineering Association and the Korean Society of Chemical Engineers, and hosted by the School of Life Science and Technology at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, the event brought together leading experts from around the world.
The conference centered on the critical role of separation science and technology in energy conservation, environmental protection, and various engineering fields such as chemical, environmental, bioengineering, and pharmaceutical engineering. Discussions focused on how advanced separation techniques can enhance production efficiency and improve resource utilization in industrial processes.
Over 300 scientists from more than 10 countries—including China, South Korea, France, the UK, the US, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Austria, India, and Pakistan—attended the event. The meeting provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the exploration of future research directions in this important field. With its strong international participation and focus on practical applications, the conference highlighted the growing significance of separation technologies in addressing global challenges.
