Russian President Urges Domestic Industries to Accelerate Substitute Imports

Putin told the participants that they should determine the time frame for the manufacture of specific parts, the funds needed, and the time required for the relevant manufacturing at our production site, and provide financing for this work.

Putin said that Russia needs to develop its own production in areas that were previously dominated by imports and use modern technology to organize this work.

He said: "These are all related to Russia's national defense and economic security, the independence of technology and production, and the key issue of technological sovereignty. Our task is to overcome the risks of non-performance by overseas partners, including political risks."
