It is reported that Denmark's marine measuring equipment supplier Daniamant will launch a prototype of a new boiler water and oil measuring device. This new product is affordable and accurately and reliably detects oil in boiler water to avoid contamination of boiler water. If the boiler contains oil, it will cause extremely serious problems, because the oil will gradually damage the boiler water pipe.
Anders B. Rasmussen, sales director at Daniamant, said, “The oil in the boiler system will bring huge repair costs to the shipowner. To this end, we have developed this measuring device. Once oil is contaminated into the water in the boiler system, It will issue an alarm. The crew will respond quickly to this, so that the shipowner will save a lot of money, because the pipes in the boiler will not be damaged, and it will save unnecessary time for port maintenance. â€
Daniamant has talked with some large Chinese boiler manufacturers about the design concept of the product.
Anders B. Rasmussen pointed out that "this accurate and reliable measurement technology can guarantee the full detection of oil in the boiler system. Chinese boiler manufacturers are very interested in this. In order to avoid causing a lot of maintenance costs for ship owners, these Manufacturers are trying to avoid contamination of boiler water, so they are very interested in our product design philosophy."
Daniamant's new equipment is easy to use on ships, and shipowners do not need to spend extra money.
Anders B. Rasmussen also said, “This oil detection device is compatible with existing products on the market. This means that the shipowner does not need to drill new mounting holes on the ship. Because our products can be installed with previous installations. The holes are connected."
The device will be presented as a prototype at the 2015 China International Maritime Exhibition, and the final product will be put into production in the first quarter of 2016.
