Dubai "Oasis" type park is open to the public with LED lighting system

Dubai's first sustainable environmentally friendly park (AlKhazan Park) was officially opened to the public last weekend. The park’s location was once an open space around the iconic reservoir of the Satwa district in the 1980s. The park uses a number of energy-saving and environmental protection measures, such as the use of sensors with faucets and solar and wind power plants. The solar LED lighting system used in the park requires only 3 kilowatts of electricity at night, saving about 44.5 tons of carbon emissions per year. The data shows that these quantities of CO2 emission reduction will make 1100 trees survive. The newly opened AlKhazan Park is considered an oasis in Jumeirah and the surrounding area. Currently, there are 135 parks in Dubai. The Dubai government said it plans to set up new parks in the AlMuhaisnah and AlNahda areas in the near future. In addition, new trees will be planted in the parks of AlMankhool and OudAlMuteena. These parks will be open to the public within 1-2 months.
