Yunnei Heihe Challenge Alpine Experiment

On January 28, 2015, Yunnei's Wuxi Calibration Team arrived at Heihe for an alpine trial. The vehicles for the alpine experiment included seven models from Jianghuai , Changfeng, Liuzhou Wuling and Guangdong Fodi. The main task of the winter experiment is to verify and evaluate the performance of the engine and the vehicle. The main calibration work is cold start performance, driving performance calibration under cold start, inspection of hydraulic system electrical system, and monitoring of OBD system.

The cold environment is not only a test for vehicle engines, but also a test for testers. In the experiment of Heihe, the cold start every morning is the most critical. The start test must be conducted when the temperature is the lowest every day. Therefore, the calibration personnel must set off at six o'clock in the morning and walk to the river for a cold start test. Heilongjiang's riverside is the coolest place in Heihe, and the wind is very large. The calibration team will stop the calibration vehicle on the riverside for freezing at night, and it has reached the minimum starting temperature. The environment of alpine trials was very difficult, but the calibration personnel overcame all kinds of difficulties. After half a month of hard work, all vehicles successfully completed the calibration work for the cold, and all vehicles were able to start normally at an ambient temperature of -25 to -32°C. The repeatability of start-up and driving stability, warm air and oil circuit also performed well, electrical inspection was normal, and OBD monitoring function was reliable. At the end of the winter test, relevant leaders and staff from Guangdong Foday, Liuzhou Wuling and Changfeng Automobile Enterprises went to Heihe for project review, and the vehicle calibration results were unanimously recognized and affirmed by car manufacturers.

On the journey of the Three High Experiments, the Wuxi Calibration Group grew rapidly after various experiences in high temperature, alpine and plateau. A fiercely strong team of fifteen people, a group of young people after the age of 80, with a love of demarcation and a belief that they dare to fight and never fail, wrote a hymn on youth and dreams in the land of the motherland. Looking forward to the next year's three-high test, the Wuxi calibration group “high sesame blossoms” will yield more fruitful results with its sincerity and strength!

These metal beads are always reinforced with metal sheets to resist the component movement that arises from large fluctuations in temperature. The sheet layers number is depends on distortion of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head components. 

Exhaust manifold gasket leak can cause bad exhaust values, loss of power and increase the fuel consumptions.
