Functional ultra-fine modified calcium carbonate technology is expected to enter industrial operation

Recently, at the Shijiazhuang Economic and Trade Fair, the Jingzi County Calcium Magnesium Industry Association and Jilin University signed a technology transfer agreement for “functional ultra-fine modified calcium carbonate,” and both parties have taken substantive steps in the cooperation of production, education and research.
In recent days, under the coordination of the Shijiazhuang Science and Technology Bureau, Jingxing County Calcium and Magnesium Industry Association and Jilin University have discussed the implementation of this project. It is reported that Jilin University will apply the new technology to this project. It will use the micro-controlled directional synthesis process for the first time to produce functional nano-scale calcium carbonate to achieve high filling and reinforcement in plastic products. It is used in the rubber industry. It is used to replace the expensive white carbon black and is applied in the papermaking process to maximize the retention rate.
According to the agreement, Jingxing County will increase the investment of the project. The total investment of the project is expected to reach 15 million yuan. After the project is put into production, it is expected to produce 30,000 tons of functional ultra-fine modified calcium carbonate annually. The price of the ton product is more than 2,200 yuan. The annual output value is over 60 million yuan and the annual profit and tax is 26 million yuan. After the completion of the project, it will have a typical demonstration and leading role in promoting the upgrading of local calcium and magnesium industries and accelerating the pace of building China's calcium.
