As mentioned in previous posts HERE and HERE, the Homewood Fire Department and the Hillside Fire Department both recently received new rear-mount aerials from Pierce. Ryan Wyckoff was kind enough to share some great photos of both units from his visit to the Pierce facility last month. And just this week, Pierce officially released a series of images—including these two—on their Flickr page, giving us a closer look at the new apparatuses.
The first image shows Homewood Ladder 555, a brand-new 2011 Pierce Arrow XT 105' rear-mount quint. The unit looks sharp, with its modern design and advanced features that are sure to enhance the department’s firefighting capabilities. It's always exciting to see how departments upgrade their equipment, and this one definitely stands out.
The second photo features Hillside Fire Department’s Truck 403, which is also a 2011 Pierce Velocity XT 105' rear-mount quint. This unit is another excellent addition to the department’s fleet, offering improved reach and performance for a variety of emergency situations. Both vehicles highlight Pierce’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, reliable fire apparatus.
If you're a fan of fire trucks or just interested in local fire department updates, these new additions are definitely worth keeping an eye on. You can check out more photos from Pierce’s Flickr page for a full gallery of these and other units.
