Penglai Jutao receives an order for piped marine reels and sea pipe turntables

Recently, the world's leading oil drilling equipment service provider - the United States NOV company and Penglai Jutao signed a contract for the construction of piped reel and sea pipe turntable. The contents of the contract include a series of equipment for pipelaying marine equipment. The working scope of Penglai Jutal Company includes processing design, material procurement, structural prefabrication, painting and inspection of various components.
Since 2007, Penglai Jutao has cooperated with NOV and its subsidiary AmClyde in 18 projects, built several crane and pipelaying equipment structures, accumulated a lot of management and construction experience, and matured construction technology.

From the pipe laying method, the pipe laying ship can be divided into S-LAY type pipe laying ship, J-LAY type pipe laying ship, and REEL-LAY type pipe laying ship. Among them, the most common S-LAY type pipelaying vessels suitable for shallow sea areas have already been in China, but REEL-LAY and J-LAY type pipelaying vessels are not available in China.

It is reported that the REEL-LAY type pipe laying vessel is an early pipe laying method and the most effective way to lay submarine pipelines. The project undertaken by Penglai Jutao will be used on the first REEL-LAY pipelaying vessel in China. Upon completion, the vessel will be delivered to the Shanghai Salvage Bureau.
