Southwire, the largest wire and cable manufacturer in the United States, has announced that its president, Stu Thorn, will retire in the second half of this year. Stinson, the current president of Eaton’s Americas distribution business, will take over.
According to the announcement, Stinson will officially join the Southern Cable Company on October 15 this year, and will serve as the current president of Stu Thorn, and gradually take over the relevant work. Stu Thorn will also officially retire after Stingson completes the transition period.
It is reported that since 2001, Stu Thorn officially took charge of the South Line Cable Company, and is committed to research and development of new products, achieving a compound growth of the company's performance. In 2013, South Line Cable announced the company's first large-scale merger and acquisition measures, the acquisition of Coleman cable for US$786 million. Since then, South Line Cable has surpassed the universal cable to become the largest wire and cable manufacturer in the United States and even in North America.
